In her clinical practice, Dr. Gibbs offers individualized treatment that is tailored to the particular needs of her clients. Her goal is to ensure that you feel known, respected, and understood. She believes in treating the whole person, with an approach that sees life experiences, history, spirituality, culture, ethnicity, and unique aspects of your personality, as significant factors that inform your world view and effect your health and well-being.

She works with clients who have a range of life problems and mental health diagnoses. She is experienced in evaluating and treating adults, young adults, teens and young children and their families.

Her consultations aim to bring together relevant information via interviews, standardized screens and clinical observations, to identify treatment targets.

Her treatment plans include talk therapy such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy. Her medication recommendations include a holistic range of evidenced based approaches that range from natural remedies to more complex regimens of psychiatric medications.

Her professional psychiatry career now spans two decades and she has a wealth of experience in mental health diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Gibbs’ personal life experiences are diverse. She understands the pressures and challenges of living and working in a big city, working in large organizations, being a member of an underrepresented group, being an immigrant, raising a family and navigating interpersonal relationships. She is a member of the Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is proficient in Spanish.
